“Courtesy Call” e’ il nuovo singolo di Skyzoo con Chuck D

Skyzoo rilascia una prima anticipazione da “Keep Me Company”, il suo nuovo disco in uscita il prossimo 29 novembre, seguito ufficiale di “The Mind Of A Saint“. Il brano è “Courtesy Call”, con la partecipazione di una figura che non ha bisogno di presentazioni: Chuck D! The idea behind “Courtesy Call” came from the energy of the beat itself – spiega l’mc. The track, produced by The Dagger, out of Michigan, is bare-boned and layered all at once; between the subs and the 808’s going neck and neck with the breakbeat drums. It’s sort of a double entendre in its own right, and the intensity of it led me to write a sparring session over it. As someone known for double-meanings, but also storytelling, it had been a while since I used that multi-layered part of my arsenal to just rap; so this was an opportunity to just rhyme relentlessly. The beauty of the record is every single line is at least a double entendre, if not a triple. For the hook, I had this idea of a grand and boisterous voice to being the warning home; and there’s none better than the legendary Chuck D. Over the years, Chuck has been a huge supporter of mine, so we were overdue for a collab – and I am honored to have him on the record with me.
